Model: Kimberly Leemans
Day 1 of what is becoming one of my favorite parts of this semester: my internship! Being my first day as an intern, I probably picked the perfect day to start. Everyone who was a part of the team working on the cover shoot was on point and had all worked together. It was seamless. The idea behind the shoot was to produce a cover image for the February issue of Bliss Magazine. Sherry of The Pastry Studio brought in a gorgeous cake for the shoot, all misleading with its Styrofoam center. Sitting back with my camera in hand, I was able to become acquainted with Kristia's studio space and how she works within it. After drooling a bit over the closet full of photo shoot goodies - clothes, shoes and jewelry, oh my! - I began to slowly feel more comfortable taking behind the scenes photographs of all that was going on. The model, Kim, was having hair and makeup done in one corner, while Sherry and Kristia began discussing the wedding dresses and jewelry that had been pulled for the shoot. The cover of this magazine would be featuring both Shelly's cake work and Kristia's photography, so they wanted to be in agreement over the look.
