Models: Ashlen Gilmore & Alexandra Carter
Tavern and Chapel in the Garden Unlike the other two shoots I had done with Kristia in the past, this one takes the cake (pun intended) as one of the most involved shoots I have ever been on. Two photographers, two makeup artists, three models, the gals from The Pastry Studio, another group of ladies who do place settings for weddings – and only three assistants, myself included. The gardens were beautiful, featuring two houses you can rent for your special day, a chapel (obviously), and even Snow White’s Cabin all surrounded by small train tracks and koi ponds.
- Messenger -I would run between the photoshoot in the garden to the house where the models were getting ready.
- Bridesmaid – This included holding up trains of dresses, making sure models made it back to change without serious ankle twisting, and carrying various things.
- Reflector Girl - My arms most definitely got a workout during this shoot! About 90% of the photos were taken with the use of a reflector, whether to scrim off light on a table or bouncing light up into the dress and face of the model.
- Location Scout - One of my moments of pride that day included pointing out an awesome spot on a staircase attached to one of the houses. The time of day allowed there to be zero harsh light and the photos I have seen so far seemed to have turned out fantastic! Gave myself a mental pat on the back for that one.
