Model: Fulvia Williams
Taking a completely different direction from the last photo shoot I did with Kristia, watching a comp card being photographed seemed a lot more laid back and relaxed. There was only the model and the photographer – and me, the intern. I’ve never taken much stock in location scouting, which is really quite crazy. I’ve never enjoyed car rides and whenever I don’t have to be buckled into one, I tend to avoid it, which is weird considering I’ve always loved exploring! Nothing thrills me more then wandering through some new location and falling in love. Photographing a comp card for an actor or model seems to rest on the idea of finding a great location that really showcases the subject, their outfit, and their personality.
- Picking out outfits + jewelry.
- Matching a location to each outfit.
- Making sure things were organized and packed so the day goes by smoothly.
After a quick pit stop at the house, we switched gears and found ourselves parked in front of Ocean Walk, where I stood as lookout to make sure no one came by and saw the Jeep parked at Burger King. My spy skills are a little rusty, but I was a good look out, nonetheless. I also acted as guard of the camera bag, keys and light meter, much like the Secret Service without all the danger and guns.
