So, with frantic emails to one of my professors at UCF, asking for a recommendation letter that would prove to be amazing, and a scrambling to freshen up my resume that hadn't been dusted off in awhile, I submitted my application with just 24 hours to spare on the deadline. Anxiously, I waited. And waited. When the email popped into my inbox that I had been declared a finalist, I tried not to get my hopes up, not wanting to jinx anything or start celebrating too early. And so I waited again. Finally, on May 30 @ 12:23am, I received the email. The email that had tears well up in my eyes and my mouth to only know the words, "Oh. My. God." I had won. I had actually won! It had to be one of the most awesome feelings in the world!
Beginning on January 1st, I shall be hitting the ground running with this project. The final result will be presented at LeakyCon Orlando 2014 at the end of July and by that time, I hope to have a collection of photographs, video clips, and so many great memories from my time working on this project without the constraints of school weighing me down.
